Mr. Rabbit

Mr. Rabbit is a banker, but a kindly one, who enjoys helping his neighbors accomplish their financial goals. He is honest, he plays funny little pranks on his coworkers and makes the workday pass quickly with his humor and patience. He's one of those people who has an effect on all of those around him that leaves them feeling like better people. On the way home each evening, he takes him time strolling through the park, stopping to chat with the squirrels and ducks, where he is often invited in for a cup of tea and often asked to stay for dinner. He's the type of banker who flies kites.

Hats off to Larry

I've got a huge pile of peacock feathers on my dining room table that I'm about to dive into. That will start this evening or tomorrow. However, today I painted a picture OF peacock feathers on a feather from a goose.

It came from the deep

Ocho!!

This was a lot of fun to paint. I'll definitely have to do some more in this theme.  I love swimming in deep waters and feeling the bottom drop out below me. It is terrifying and wonderful. It was such a rush to swim out into the Atlantic Ocean from Puerto Rico in 2006. I felt a such a visceral sense of the fragility of life,  thus feeling utterly and completely aware of being alive. That must be the same sort of rush that sky divers get when they leap.

Day 34: Hang in There

For Damen.

Timothy Ambrose Wallace only wants to fly. It is spring and school is about to let out for summer recess. He sits next to the window in his first grade classroom where he can drift into the sky and daydream about the grand adventures that are on their way. Uncle Tim and his father have agreed to bring him along for his first real trip, now that he’s finally large enough to assist with the rigging. They’ll be gone for a month. They leave in ten days.

Day 17: If Cats Could Fly

Not only does Tim Mulligatawny oversee the maintenance of the large airships in the H.M.A.R.C. fleet, but he also develops improved solo flight equipment. This is one of his wing designs. Cats hunger for the sky, and so they take flight with mechanical wings and blimps that are lighter than air.

Day 9: Neville Potemkin Wallace IV

Mr. Wallace introduces himself with his middle initial rather than using his given second name of Potemkin, which he finds to be a bit over the top for most social occasions. He is a tidy banker and dutiful father to the litter of eight kittens who have recently joined the Wallace household. On Sundays he usually attends early service with the Missus and the kindle so that he has more of the day left for his favorite part of the week (Amelia is savvy and supportive, and when the little ones are behaving, handles them on her own, packing Neville a picnic and sweeping him out the door towards the airfield).  He is a member of Her Majesty’s Aeronautic Research Collegium (H.M.A.R.C. -- No claws allowed.). It is from there that his friend and colleague Theophilus Ignatius Mulligatawny (Tim for short) sets forth on his great adventures.
