My brother played saxophone in junior high and high school. He was generally cooler than me, though we both turned out just fine in the end.

Raccoon Band! Let the Trumpet Sound!
I chose trumpet as my band instrument when I was in fifth grade because I once heard my grandfather comment that he had always wished he had taken up that instrument instead of trombone.

Octopussy
This lovely purple octopus sold at the Alabama Coastal BirdFest today. As I was painting her I kept track of the number of tentacles to be sure that I had just enough.
